Tourism and Culture

Not provided with natural resources like beaches, waterfalls, forests and other attractive like wise, either way Anapolis has a strong appeal for tourism. A project is in plain development in the city to create a proposal linked to the tourism of business. It will start from the expansion of what it already exists in terms of fairs, expositions, artistic shows and other events that are already happening, bringing millions of people from all over the country.

The city is still part of the calendar of national events for being the venue of a agro industrial fair (FAIANA); the Agricultural Exposition; the National Choir Congress; the National Theater Festival; the National Orchid Fair (the Municipal Orchid Stove House is under implantation); the International Folklore Festival, the Winter Festival and other events like wise.
Another interesting appeal in this segment is the religious tourism. Annually, the city is venue of at least two dozens of religious congresses, catholic as well as evangelic or spiritual. They happen on specific dates, like Carnival, Holy Week (Easter) and prolonged holidays. Those events bring to Anapolis millions of participants, people who spend millions of reais (Brazilian currency) in the wholesale commerce, in the hotel sector, and on the customer services like restaurants, shopping’s and supermarkets at a national level, structure that serves at any touristic level.

As far the cultural part goes, Anapolis also offers a series of interesting projects. The city ha a Historical Museum, two plastic art museums, theater, music, dance and painting schools, some are supported by the Municipal Public Power and other by the private initiative. It also has excellent country clubs, including sport fishing and other important attractions. Midwest Dry Port S/A has been partner of all those activities, staring from the diffusion that it makes about the existing potential in the Municipality, thus as the evidences that this is an economy segment which can improve even more.
