Mid-Atlantic Railway - FCA
Porto Seco Centro Oeste is privileged for offering in its terminal, the railway transportation modal. It is an operation in partnership with Log-In, Logística Intermodal S/A (Vale do Rio Doce Company), which has made viable the railway transit in an efficient, secured and economic way for the reception and the unloading of national and external market goods.
The old Federal Railway Network (RFFSA), nowadays Mid-Atlantic Railway (FCA), has earned large advantageous dimensions with the installation of Porto Seco Centro Oeste S/A, as of 1999, extending the social-economic growth of Anápolis and the region. Essentially dynamic, the FCA, nowadays, is one of the most important railways in the country, with a considerably large moving volume of container shipments, making of Dray Port of Anápolis the main supplying terminal of this modal.
With 7.080 kilometers of extension, the Mid-Atlantic Railway is considered the main and most efficient axle of connection between the Northeast, Southeast and Midwest regions of Brazil. It crosses more than 250 Brazilian counties in seven different states: Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo, Rio de Janeiro, Bahía, Sergipe, Goiás and São Paulo, besides the Federal District.
Its integration to large ports like the ones of Vitória (TVV, Paul, Codesa), Santos; Angraporto (Angra dos Reis - RJ); Terminal de Aratu; Puerto de Salvador (BA); Puerto de Anápolis - GO and Uberlándia - MG and its connection to other railways, like Carretera de Fierro Vitória/Minas (EFVM), MRS Logística, Compañía Ferroviaria del Nordeste (CFN) y Brasil Ferrovías, make of FCA a great import and export carrier of the country.
The FCA, in the Express Train System route has as its main transported products, sugar; manure and fertilizers; oil and alcohol derivatives; iron and steel products; soybean and soybean sawdust; phosphate; iron-gusa; ore, containers and shipment in general. Porto Seco Centro Oeste S/A terminal is responsible for 40% of the total volume of shipments moving through the Express Train.
Anapolis City will become, in a short period of time, the zero marking of the interconnection between the North-South and Mid-Atlantic. The moving and distribution operations from the North and South will definitely consolidate the Porto Seco Centro Oeste S/A in the route of the great logistics projects of Brazil, increasing its operational and connection capacity with the North, Northeast, South and Southeast regions.
