Education

Anapolis, Capital of Knowledge
Parallel to the economic vocation on the two most important slopes – industry and commerce – it is developed, through the decades, another large alternative of development of Anapolis. It is the industrial educational and cultural park which has always been reference for the vast region of Goias.
From the beginning of the XX century the schools of Anapolis shelter students on the most various projects. At the beginning, families of North Goias and of Brazil sent their children to study in Anapolis, where the first ad good schools were implanted at the beginning of the decade of the 30’s. And such growth never stopped.

The conventional schools burst in Anapolis, allied to the specialty courses. This is how "Florence Nightingale" a Nursing School still on the 40’s came around as well as accounting courses and others, starting on the decade of the 50’s. Later the universities came.  First there was Philosophy, after Economic Science and soon after Law and Odontology.

Today, Anapolis has the University of the State of Goias, the second largest university of Brazil; the UniEvangelica University Center, on the process of a transformation to university, besides many other schools at a university level. Recently, the city was benefited with the authorization from the Ministry of Education to establish the course of Medicine in UniEvangelica, something that is already sought after by the students from all over the country.

More than 20 thousand people study in the universities of Anapolis, including millions of them being from other cities and states, a true "flowing city". There are more than 35 courses offered, among public and private schools. I can be said that Anapolis id the biggest celery of education and culture of the Midwest. That, besides culturally enriching the city and all the region of influence, it even results in an excellent economical proposal, because we are talking about a clientele with an opinion formed and a good consuming standard.
