Primary Production in AnapolisFor not having territorial extensions that may allow the development of large agricultural or cattle projects, Anapolis comes out of the common rule of most of the Brazilian municipalities which have large areas for the cattle breeding or the formation of diverse labors. But Anapolis does have a strong presence in the national economy starting on its primary production. The Municipality is the matrix of dozens of small producers’ developments of milk, fruits, vegetables, legumes and the like.
The so called "green belt" of Anapolis is responsible for the supplying of the markets of a vast region, including the capitals Goiania and Brasilia, besides the North of the State and country. Great part of the rural production of Anapolis ends in the transformation industries, like dairies, refrigerated goods, food processors and others. Already, part of those goods reach regional, national and even external markets. The city is strategically correct for the distribution of foods, seen that within a radio of one thousand kilometers from Anapolis it can be reached more than 70 percent of the national consuming market.
That is where Midwest Dry Port comes in. It is the appropriate and efficient channel to send to the other states and countries, in a fast, secure and comfortable way all the production destined for the internal ad external market. Midwest Dry Port is able, for example, to export tons of meat or powder milk, at the same time that it has the technology to make a honey can, extracted in the rural region of Anapolis, arrive to Europe, United States or Asia. It is also cleared through its terminals a great part of the food products that supply the wholesalers of the region and country through the Mid-Atlantic Railway.
